Jagalchi Market
The largest fish market in Busan, Jagalchi Fish Market is every seafood lover’s paradise. It is filled with some of the freshest seafood in South Korea, from giant live crabs, squids to live baby octopus and tender scallops. You can choose your seafood from the first floor and then bring it up to the second floor to have it prepared for you conveniently - a somewhat unique experience. It’s opened from 5am in the morning till 10pm at night.
Gamcheon Culture Village
"The Santorini of South Korea" - Gamcheon Culture Village is a vibrant little town that looks like it came out of a fairy tale. Nestled along the side of the mountain with steep steps and tiny alleys, Gamcheon Culture Village is filled with multi-coloured houses in different shapes and sizes, making it a perfect Instagram spot and has attracted visitors worldwide!
Gyeongbok Palace
Located at the heart of Seoul, Gyeongbok Palace is the first and largest of the royal palaces that were built in 1395 during the Joseon Dynasty. The largest of the Five Grand Palaces (the others being Gyeonghuigung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace), Gyeongbokgung served as the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty.
Dongdaemun Market
Dongdaemun Market is a large commercial district comprised of traditional markets and shopping centers that covers the entire area around Dongdaemun Gate, a prominent landmark in Korea. It is Korea’s largest wholesale and retail shopping district featuring 26 shopping malls, 30,000 specialty shops, and 50,000 manufacturers. All kinds of goods can be found here including silks and fabric, clothes, shoes and accessories, electronics, leather goods, sporting goods, office supplies, pet products and toys.
Myeongdong
South Korea’s best-known shopping district, Myeongdong. Shoppers can enjoy total shopping and dining experiences at the pedestrian-friendly (/car-free) zone in Myeongdong. Many local, international brands and department stores lined the streets and alleys, selling everything from cosmetics, clothes, shoes to accessories.
Busan Street Food
Korea is known for having some of the world’s most tantalizing street foods. At most street food markets, you will find sweet and supple odeng, which is fried fishcakes served in soup. The fishcakes are threaded through wooden sticks or wrapped around a pork sausage.
Jinhae Cherry Blossom
If you’re planning your holiday to South Korea, be sure to time it with the cherry blossom! Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually around March and April, with a street parade, fireworks, live music festival and light show in the night. With cherry blossoms peppered along the streets, you’ll be in for a picturesque and romantic!
